2025 Sheffield Island Lighthouse Clambake at Norwalk Seaport Dock

Experience a classic New England evening with the 2025 Sheffield Island Lighthouse Clambake, held every Tuesday from July 8 through August 26. Departing from the Norwalk Seaport Dock, this popular summer tradition includes a scenic boat ride, a hearty clambake dinner, and a tour of the historic 1868 Sheffield Island Lighthouse.
Guests board the Seaport Ferry at 6:00 pm for a round-trip cruise offering panoramic views of Long Island Sound. Once on the island, participants are treated to a traditional clambake meal prepared by Chef Clyde Ripka of Ripka’s Beach Café. Dinner is served under a festive tented pavilion on the lighthouse lawn, with plenty of time to explore the iconic lighthouse as part of the evening’s experience.
Admission is $109 or $119 per person, depending on entrée selection. Advance reservations are required, and the event often sells out quickly. The U.S. Coast Guard limits the number of passengers to 47 per trip, including children, with no exceptions.
