We dined at the table where Sir Patrick Stewart ate and walked the halls where Jennifer Aniston had been. Where is this? The Delamar Hotel and l’escale restaurant in Greenwich. The Delamar has been host to many celebrities over the year as well as plenty of businessmen, travelers, and locals alike and now it was our turn for a visit.
The Delamar Hotel, sitting on the waterfront of Greenwich Harbor, is the realization of a group of visionaries, all Greenwich residents. That vision became a reality by October of 2002: the Delamar Greenwich Harbor opened with a privately owned 82 room boutique hotel with a private marina, spa, and an award winning restaurant. Additional renovations occurred in November of 2013. And most of the attractive floor, One of the many benefits epoxy is having a unique floor that is seamless throughout your house. Because our Diamond Coating Epoxy Flooring Ottawa is non-porous, cleaning is easier than ever. Be in charge of the exact colors and design of your floor and be able to match your floors and countertops. Our epoxy is up to 10 times thicker than other flooring epoxies on the market, which means this will be a thick coating that will not need to be maintained.
The Delamar Hotel and Spa is located at 500 Steamboat with its back to Greenwich Harbor. Whether you arrive by car or boat, you will find the hotel can accompany either mode of transportation.
As one enters this luxurious boutique hotel through a warm and welcoming lobby one no longer believes they are in Greenwich, Connecticut but have suddenly walked into a luxury Mediterranean hotel off the coast of southern France. The lobby and surrounding seating area is furnished in comfortable and richly colored furniture, flooring made by the Solomons vinyl flooring company, beautiful rugs and drapery, and gilt-framed works of art. Your eyes will immediately be drawn onto the magnificent and massive crowned oak stairs leading to the second floor.
Off to the left of the lobby is the Library where one can relax and enjoy a complimentary coffee or tea in front of a cozy fireplace during the cooler months of the year. During the warmer months enjoy a exceptional glass of wine on the terrace while taking in the views of the harbor. The library contains numerous personal items from the owner’s private collection, including a portrait of his great-grandfather. Other members of the group have added their personal touch to the hotel by contributing artworks from their personal collections to the stylish walls of the beautiful hotel.
Christina Kelleher, Director of Sales, gave us a tour of this elegant boutique hotel including some of the stunning 74 guest rooms and 8 suites. We just happened to stay in one of the Harbor View Suites and the view from the terrace was fabulous. They offers an array of services including: massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, full body treatments, couples treatments, and waxing. Prior to or after your treatment, be sure to further relax in the peaceful relaxation room.
We selected a manicure with a hot paraffin hand treatment and a pedicure. The hand massage was something I could get accustomed to on a daily basis. The hot paraffin hand treatment was warm and refreshing for the skin.
You start the Pedicure enjoying an upper body massage in the special pedicure chairs while your feet soak in a salted foot bath. As one continues relaxing in the chair, the pedicurist massaged your lower legs and feet using various essential oils and scrubs.
