A Conversation on the Economy, Money & Power at The Bushnell

An in-depth conversation about the forces shaping work, money and modern society comes to The Bushnell on Friday, November 20, 2026, at 7:30 pm as The Connecticut Forum presents A Conversation on the Economy, Money & Power.

Acclaimed journalist and economic storyteller Andrew Ross Sorkin will explore how technology, artificial intelligence and shifting economic power are redefining careers, institutions and the nature of work. Drawing on decades of reporting at the center of global finance, Sorkin brings complex financial and political dynamics into focus while connecting current events with the historical patterns that have shaped today’s economic landscape.

The conversation will consider where the economy is headed, how it reached its current moment and what changes may lie ahead. Additional speakers are expected to be announced.

A Conversation on the Economy, Money & Power takes place in Mortensen Hall at The Bushnell, 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut 06106. The event begins at 7:30 pm and is part of the 2026–2027 Connecticut Forum Season. All tickets are sold through The Connecticut Forum. Additional event information is available at The Bushnell event page and The Connecticut Forum.
