Weego’s Jump Starter Battery+ is a compact and a convenient way to jump start a dead battery in your car, boat, ATV, garden tractor, and more. It starts your engine, charges your phone, and fits in your pocket! With this portable battery you no longer need to carry long jumper cables that get tangled or heavy jumper packs. You won’t have to endure that long wait for AAA or a tow. It’s so easy you can do it yourself! The Weego JS12 Jump Starter Battery+ can be stored in your glove compartment so it is readily available if and when you may need it.
The Weego Heavy Duty Jump Starter Battery+ is small enough to store in your glove box or on-the-water emergency kit. Plus, you can store it in your vehicle for over a year and still have enough power to jump it; the lithium-polymer battery only loses between 2 and 5% charge a month. I recently bought the Weego JS12 Jump Starter Battery+ after I sold my old car to Recycle scrap metal at a reasonable price. Instead of selling it to a private garage which would have paid me lesser and kept the car in open which undoubtedly would have been harmful to the environment, I chose to do the right thing and recycle it.
When you open the box you will see many attachments and realize that the JS12 is definitely a great addition to emergency items carried in your car. If you have a flat tire, you no longer have to run your car to use the emergency tire inflator, just plug it into the Weego JS12.
Not only can it be used as a jump starter, the Weego Jump Starter Battery+ can be used to charge your phone, laptop, tablet, or anything else that can connect to the micro, Lightning and 30-pin, 3-in-1 USB cord or one of eight PC-based laptop adapters.
The Heavy Duty JS12 is designed to jump start gas engines up to 6.4L and diesel engines up to 3.2L. It has a great 18-month warranty and has been independent lab tested, something that you really want to know in light of all the recent news-stories about cheap and dangerous lithium batteries. It can be used to jump start anything that is started by a battery, as long as it is a 12-volt system.

The box has a retractable wire brush to clean the battery terminals. The JS12 also has a built-in light that can be used as a flashlight, strobe, or SOS signal. The flashlight comes in handy on the those dark nights when you find yourself having to jump start your vehicle or find that needed item in your trunk.
In addition to the JS12, Weego offers two other models – the Standard JS6 and the Professional JS18. The difference being that the JS6 6000 mAh battery is good for smaller gas (up to 4.6L) and diesel (up to 2.4L) engines, whereas the JS18 has a 18000 mAh lithium-polymer battery good for larger, up to 9.6L gas engines and up to 4.8L diesel engines.
Since we didn’t have a dead car battery to test it on, we tested it on the dead battery on our garden tractor. After reading the simple directions, we went out to the garage and attached the jumper cables to the battery and then to the Weego power pack. Turning the garden tractor key, I noticed the Weego had plenty of power. Five separate blue indicator lights near the on/off button quickly tell you how much charge the JS12 has.
After a few seconds the battery started right up. It should be noted that the Weego Jump Starter Battery+ is just that, a jump starter. It is not designed to charge your vehicle’s battery but it will get you on the road again. However, you can charge smartphones, tablets, and laptops using the provided cables and connectors.
There were only two things that I would like to see different with the JS12, but are not big enough issues to keep me from purchasing one. The provided jumper cables could be a little more heavy duty. They probably will last a long time with minimal use and care in storage. The JS12 comes with a cloth carrying bag but it would be nice to have a hard shell carrying case to prevent possible damage to it and the attachments if everything is stored in the trunk.
