DESCRIPTION:A multi-day exhibition celebrating creativity across visual art and literature runs from May 7 through May 17\, 2026 at Five Points Annex\, 15 Water Street\, Torrington\, CT 06790. \nMaking Our Mark With Words and Art brings together nine artists and authors for an engaging showcase featuring artwork\, readings\, book signings\, and interactive workshops. The exhibition is open Wednesday through Sunday from 12 pm to 4 pm\, with an opening reception on May 8 from 5 pm to 8 pm\, offering a festive opportunity to meet the creators and explore their work. \nThroughout the run\, visitors can connect with participating artists and authors\, including photographer and writer Cheryl Martinelli\, illustrator Temperance Croce\, and several featured authors presenting their books and creative projects. Special events include a poetry and art workshop on May 9 at 2 pm led by Joan Kantor\, focusing on ekphrasis\, the connection between visual art and writing. \nHands-on experiences continue with “Partnership Painting” workshops on May 10 from 12 pm to 1:30 pm and May 16 from 1 pm to 2:30 pm\, inviting participants to create collaborative artwork.
