Easy Paleo Salmon Dog Burgers Recipe

Easy Paleo Salmon Dog Burgers Recipe

People eat food from the Paleo plan, why not pets? We found this recipe in the book Paleo Chef for Dogs: Homemade Gluten-Free Dog Food Recipes, from Casey Merrick and found both dogs and cats love it. It is so natural even people could eat it too and it’s rather good as we tasted it ourselves after we made it. The ingredients are simple and it’s easy to make. Did you know that eating Paleo is basically just eating “real food”? The name might confuse some people but if you remember that eating simple is really what it’s all about.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb. (225 gr) canned salmon, drained and deboned
  • 1 sweet potato, grated
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 3 Tbsp. (25 gr) almond flour
  • 1-2 Tbsp. (15-30 ml) olive oil, optional

Directions:

  1. Combine salmon, sweet potato, diced carrot and celery in a mixing bowl, stirring well.

  3. Shape the mixture by hand into patties.
  4. Serve cold or sear in a frying pan.
