Dr. Z will explore the plants and practices that shaped early American healing traditions while highlighting the cultural and scientific roots of herbal care. \nThe program continues in person on Saturday\, September 26\, at 11 am with a hands-on workshop at the historic Glebe House\, which dates to the 1740s. Participants will take a guided garden tour to identify medicinal and edible plants while learning about the folklore\, chemistry\, and traditional uses of herbs found throughout the garden. \nThe workshop will also include hands-on preparation of two traditional remedies using herbs gathered from the garden\, foraged from the wild\, and purchased locally.
