DESCRIPTION:LaMP brings its dynamic blend of improvisational rock\, funk\, jazz\, and groove-driven musicianship to Levitt Pavilion on July 24\, 2026\, for a free outdoor concert featuring three celebrated performers from the jam-band world. \nThe trio was formed in 2018 following an unforgettable performance at Nectar’s in Burlington\, Vermont\, where drummer Russ Lawton\, guitarist Scott Metzger\, and keyboardist Ray Paczkowski discovered an immediate musical chemistry. The project takes its name from the first letters of each musician’s surname and has since developed a devoted following through its energetic live performances and distinctive sound. \nLawton and Paczkowski share a long musical history through their work with the Trey Anastasio Band and their duo project Soule Monde\, while Metzger is widely recognized as a member of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. Together\, the three musicians create a sound built on intricate interplay\, soulful grooves\, adventurous improvisation\, and exceptional technical skill. \nFollowing the release of their self-titled debut EP\, recorded at Sugarhouse Soundworks in Vermont\, LaMP has steadily expanded its audience through performances across the East Coast. Their music showcases Paczkowski’s expressive organ and clavinet work\, Metzger’s versatile guitar playing\, and Lawton’s steady\, powerful rhythms\, creating performances that are both deeply musical and highly engaging. \nThe concert begins at 7:30 pm on Friday\, July 24\, 2026\, with doors opening at 6:30 pm.
