Guests can spend the day exploring a wide range of exhibitions\, interactive experiences\, and conversations with guest curator Camilo Alvarez during Ask A Curator\, available throughout the galleries from 11 am to 5 pm. \nVisitors can experience Ascendancy: The Self in Contemporary Art while engaging directly with the curator\, as well as About Face: 250 Years of American Portraits in the Whittemore & Noonan Galleries. Presented in honor of the nation’s semiquincentennial\, the exhibition examines identity\, citizenship\, and belonging through American portraiture spanning 250 years. Guests can also participate in an interactive portrait selfie station and contribute to a community talk-back wall featured within the exhibition. \nAdditional exhibitions opening June 13 include Psychedelic Splendor: The Concert Art of AJ Masthay & Helen Kennedy in the Munger Gallery and Theodate Pope’s Highfield: A History in the History Gallery. Psychedelic Splendor showcases more than twenty vibrant screen-printed concert posters created for legendary bands including Black Sabbath\, Dave Matthews Band\, Dead & Company\, Foo Fighters\, Goose\, The Grateful Dead\, Pearl Jam\, and Phish.
