SUMMARY:Member Perk: June at Mattatuck Museum
DESCRIPTION:Mattatuck Museum members can enjoy a behind-the-scenes rail experience during the June Member Perk event on Wednesday\, June 24\, from 12 pm to 2 pm with a special visit to the Railroad Museum of New England. Participants will receive an up-close look at historic rolling stock while learning about the craftsmanship\, engineering\, and history of rail travel from the experts who maintain and restore these remarkable machines. \nThe experience includes access to an active locomotive and railcar overhaul shop located within a working railyard\, offering guests a rare opportunity to explore railroad preservation in action. Space is limited to 15 visitors\, and participants are encouraged to reserve their spots early. Parking is limited\, and transportation in the Museum van will be available for participants ages 18 and older. \nFor safety reasons\, closed-toe shoes are required\, and all participants must sign a liability waiver before taking part in the tour. \nThe Mattatuck Museum is located at 144 West Main Street\, Waterbury\, CT 06702.
