The discussion highlights Sanders’ research into a previously undocumented Underground Railroad station maintained by Ned and Betsy Armstrong\, free Black residents who risked severe penalties under the Fugitive Slave Acts to shelter individuals fleeing enslavement. \nThe hour-long program will take place on Saturday\, February 21\, 2026\, at 2 pm at The Meetinghouse\, located at Ridgebury Congregational Church\, 605 Ridgebury Road\, Ridgefield\, CT. A snow date is scheduled for February 28.
