This new North American production marks the first major revival of the show in more than 25 years. \nBased on the classic animated film\, the musical tells the timeless story of Belle\, a young woman who finds herself in an enchanted castle and forms an unexpected bond with a prince transformed into a beast. Through themes of compassion\, transformation\, and love\, the story unfolds with memorable characters and moments that have captivated audiences for generations. \nThe production features an Oscar-winning and Tony Award–nominated score by Alan Menken\, with lyrics by Tim Rice and a book by Linda Woolverton. Classic songs such as “Be Our Guest” and “Beauty and the Beast” are brought to life with updated staging\, elaborate new sets\, and dazzling costumes. Members of the original Tony Award–winning creative team reunite for this production\, including director and choreographer Matt West\, scenic designer Stanley A.
