DESCRIPTION:Young artists can explore their creativity this summer at Artivity: Sail Into Summer Edition\, a hands-on arts program at The Bushnell designed for students ages 7–14. Led by experienced teaching artists and creative educators\, this engaging program offers a variety of artistic experiences that inspire imagination\, self-expression\, and skill-building. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to explore a range of art forms\, including puppetry\, sewing\, visual arts\, textiles\, drumming\, jewelry-making\, yoga\, music creation\, and more. DESCRIPTION:Mark Twain’s beloved American classic comes to life through puppetry\, masks\, and innovative storytelling in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Puppet Show at The Mark Twain House & Museum. Performances will take place on July 9\, 11\, 12\, 13\, 17\, 18\, 19\, and 20\, 2026\, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. \nCreated by master puppet and mask-maker Robert Beuth\, this faithful adaptation of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn follows Huck and Jim on their unforgettable journey down the Mississippi River. Using more than 17 handcrafted masks and puppets\, along with a traditional visual “cranky” scroll\, the production presents Twain’s iconic story in a highly theatrical and imaginative format. Audiences will encounter the memorable characters\, adventures\, and humor that have made the novel a cornerstone of American literature. \nThis performance is intended for adult audiences and is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Tickets are $25\, while Museum Members may purchase discounted tickets for $20 by signing in with their membership account. \nThe Mark Twain Museum Store will be open from 6 pm to 7 pm prior to each performance\, offering visitors an opportunity to browse books\, gifts\, and literary memorabilia before the show. \nThe Mark Twain House & Museum is located at 351 Farmington Avenue\, Hartford\, CT 06105.
