DESCRIPTION:The Beer’d Run Club returns to Beer’d Brewing – The Silo in Groton\, taking place every Wednesday at 5:30 pm from April 2 through October 29\, 2025. Hosted in collaboration with the Mohegan Striders\, this weekly event welcomes runners of all abilities for a scenic 3–5 mile route around Groton. After the run\, participants are rewarded with a locally crafted beer. \nTo join\, participants make a one-time donation of $45 to the Groton Open Space Association (GOSA)\, or $25 for Mohegan Striders members\, in exchange for a punch card good for 10 runs and 10 beers. Cards are kept at The Silo and can be used throughout the season. Each runner may purchase up to three cards. \nBeer’d Brewing – The Silo is located at 225 Leonard Drive\, Groton\, CT 06340. A knowledgeable guide will share stories and insights about the tribe’s deep-rooted history along the Thames River\, including views past the Submarine Base and into the peaceful estuary known as the Massapequatuck. \nEach cruise departs at 12:45 pm and returns by 2:00 pm\, providing 75 minutes of engaging narration and beautiful river scenery. \nTickets and departure details are available through the Thames River Heritage Park.
