DESCRIPTION:Experience life in a 16th-century Pequot community during the Pequot Village Tour\, offered Wednesdays through Saturdays at 12 pm at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center. This 20-minute guided experience provides an immersive look at the traditions\, daily life\, and enduring cultural heritage of the Pequot people. \nGuests will explore a recreated Pequot village nestled among the trees\, where traditional wetu homes and hands-on demonstrations bring history to life. Along the guided tour\, visitors will learn about family life\, community traditions\, cooking\, weaving\, storytelling\, and other everyday activities while gaining insight into life before and after European contact. \nThe experience is enhanced by the natural sights\, sounds\, and scents of the Eastern Woodlands\, creating an engaging environment that helps visitors connect with the history and culture of the Pequot people. \nThe guided tour is available with general Museum admission plus an additional $10 per person. \nThe Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center is located at 110 Pequot Trail\, Mashantucket\, CT 06338. The musical is directed by four-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif\, with choreography by four-time Tony Award nominee Camille A.
