SUMMARY:Beverly Gage on This Land Is Your Land: A Road Trip Through U.S. History at Mark Twain House & Museum
DESCRIPTION:Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Beverly Gage will visit the Mark Twain House & Museum on May 26 from 7 pm to 8 pm for a discussion of her new book\, This Land Is Your Land: A Road Trip Through U.S. History. \nIn the book\, Gage explores how Americans engage with history through museums\, historic landmarks\, roadside attractions\, reenactments\, and cultural sites across the country. Edgar Hoover and the Making of the American Century\, which received the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Biography along with several other major literary and historical awards. She has also written for publications including The New Yorker\, The New York Times\, and The Washington Post. \nThe Mark Twain House & Museum is located at 351 Farmington Avenue\, Hartford\, CT 06105.
