Participants can expect to observe a variety of bird species\, including resident and migratory salt marsh birds\, raptors\, and woodland birds during peak migration season. \nThe walk follows the trolley tracks through several productive ecosystems\, offering a unique vantage point for birdwatching. At the conclusion of the walk\, a trolley ride will return participants to the starting location. \nAdmission is free. The event begins with a 30-minute “Pack Walk” at 11:30 am\, followed by an official opening at noon with a ribbon-cutting and gift bags for the first 50 attendees. \nVisitors can enjoy a wide range of activities including a pet photo contest\, pet tricks competition\, police K-9 demonstration\, dog training sessions\, animal readings\, and hands-on stations like paw print keepsakes and pet-created art. A dog adoption parade featuring rescue dogs\, live music from Daley DJ\, and a vendor fair showcasing pet products\, floral goods\, and local artisans add to the festive atmosphere. \nFood trucks will be on site offering a variety of options for purchase.
