DESCRIPTION:The 9th Annual Connecticut Spring Boat Show returns to Safe Harbor Essex Island from April 25–27\, 2025\, featuring an impressive lineup of new and brokerage boats\, both power and sail\, ranging from 20 feet to over 65 feet. \nAs New England’s first in-water boat show of the season\, this event offers a unique opportunity for attendees to explore the latest innovations in boating\, sailing\, and fishing. Visitors can board boats in the water\, meet with yacht brokers and dealers\, and enjoy live music. In addition to the boats on display\, the show will feature exhibitors offering boating gear\, marine services\, accessories\, and artwork. \nTickets are $20 per adult in advance and $22 at the gate\, with free admission for children 13 and under. Each ticket grants access all weekend long\, and 50% of ticket proceeds will benefit Sails Up 4 Cancer. Performances run through May 11\, promising a fast-paced\, laugh-out-loud experience for audiences 13 and older. \nWith book and lyrics by Bert Bernardi and music by Justin Rugg\, Tiaras Over Teaneck follows two teenage beauty pageant contestants and their high-strung mothers en route to Atlantic City. When their journey is halted at a roadside motel in Teaneck during the East Coast blackout of 1965\, chaos ensues. Slamming doors\, mistaken identities\, and over-the-top antics are all part of the fun in this farcical new production. \nThe cast features Pantochino favorites including Mary Mannix\, Shelley Marsh Poggio\, Maria Berte\, Valerie Solli\, and Jimmy Johansmeyer\, along with Sydney Yargeau and Leanne Onofrio in the roles of the pageant hopefuls. Direction is by Bernardi\, with musical direction by Rugg\, and design elements from Von Del Mar\, Jakob Kelsey\, and Tyler Kittleman. \nPerformances take place Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm\, and Sundays at 2:00 pm. Seating is cabaret-style and audiences are welcome to bring their own food and drink.
