Young Cooks & Farmers: Kids Summer Program at Yellow Farmhouse Education Center

The Young Cooks & Farmers program at Yellow Farmhouse Education Center in Stonington offers children ages 6 to 11 the opportunity to explore sustainable farming and seasonal cooking. Running Mondays through Wednesdays from July 1 to August 28, 2025, each session takes place from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and focuses on a unique weekly theme. Participants work with farmers and culinary educators to investigate a regenerative farm, grow and harvest produce, and prepare farm-fresh recipes.
Weekly themes include Pizza Party (July 1–3), Fill It, Fold It (July 8–10), Toss It Up (July 15–17), Rise ‘N Shine (July 22–24), Snack Factory (July 29–31), Noodle Fest (August 5–7), Kitchen Chemistry (August 12–14), and The Final Scoop (August 25–28). Activities vary daily and combine hands-on farming with creative cooking experiences.
