August 30 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
One event on August 30, 2020 at 10:00 am
In association with the newest exhibition in the Collins Gallery, A Way with Wood: Celebrating Craft, Mystic Seaport Museum will host Woodcraft Weekend on August 29-30, 2020. Craftspeople and vendors will be spread throughout the scenic Museum grounds showcasing their projects and products, and providing demonstrations for visitors.
See shipwrights at work, check out our collection of rare tools and small boats, and be inspired by a diverse array of wood crafts including those outside of the maritime field, such as carving, furniture making, sculpture, and activities for children too!
Mystic Seaport Museum is the nation’s leading maritime museum and home to the last wooden whaleship in the world, the CHARLES W. MORGAN.
