Women of ’76 at Pardee-Morris House
June 8 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Step back into the American Revolution through the eyes of the women who lived it during Women of ’76, a dramatic performance by actor Rita Parisi at the historic Pardee-Morris House in New Haven. This free NH250 event will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 2:00 pm (rain date: August 24, 2025).
Set in a house burned by the British during their 1779 raid—where a charred beam from the original structure still remains—this living history experience highlights five remarkable women who witnessed and shaped Revolutionary War history. Characters portrayed include Baroness von Riedesel, wife of a Hessian general and military camp chronicler; Prudence Wright, minute woman and spy catcher; and Nancy Hart, a fearless southern frontierswoman who faced down the enemy.
The Pardee-Morris House is located at 325 Lighthouse Road, New Haven, Connecticut. Admission is free, but registration is required. For more information and to register, visit newhavenmuseum.org.
