Winterfest and the Tunnel of Lights at Connecticut Trolley Museum

Winterfest and the Tunnel of Lights return to the Connecticut Trolley Museum, offering a beloved holiday tradition filled with sparkling displays and festive cheer. Guests can explore a dazzling seasonal experience featuring more than 10,000 lights illuminating both the museum grounds and the historic trolleys. This family-friendly event takes place on select evenings from November 28 through December 30, from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Visitors can board one of the cozy, closed trolley cars for a ride through the enchanting Tunnel of Lights or opt for an open-air trolley for a more immersive view of the holiday scenery. Inside the Visitor Center, model train layouts and elaborate decorations create a charming Winter Wonderland for all ages. Opening night on November 28 includes a special appearance from Santa, and families are encouraged to bring a camera for photos.

Winterfest and the Tunnel of Lights is held rain or shine. During inclement weather, open-air cars may be replaced with closed cars. Advance ticket purchases are strongly recommended to ensure availability, though walk-ins are welcome as space allows.
