Winter Wildlife Eagle Cruises at Connecticut River Museum
March 8 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Sunday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until March 10, 2025
RiverQuest’s Winter Wildlife Eagle Cruises offer a unique way to experience the beauty of the lower Connecticut River during the quiet winter months. These two-hour cruises provide stunning views of the river’s wildlife, including bald eagles, swans, hawks, and even seals, as they gather in the area for food and shelter. With no other vessels on the water and bare trees revealing the scenery, it’s the perfect opportunity for nature enthusiasts and photographers.
Naturalists will be on board to narrate the journey, helping you spot and learn about the incredible wildlife in real time. The heated cabin provides a warm retreat, but guests are encouraged to dress in layers for the best viewing from the open decks. Binoculars are available to borrow, and complimentary coffee and tea are provided to make the experience even more enjoyable.
Winter Wildlife Eagle Cruises depart from the Connecticut River Museum in Essex. Guests must check in at least 15 minutes before departure, as the boat leaves promptly. Reservations are highly recommended, and children under 10 years old are not permitted on these cruises. Be sure to confirm your booking and check for weather updates, as itineraries may change based on conditions.
