Westport Farmer’s Winter Market @ Gilbertie’s Garden Center
November 18, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
The Westport Farmers’ Market Moves Into the Cozy Greenhouses at Gilbertie’s Garden Center on November 18
The Westport Farmers Market will be held every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm until March 10
While people in many areas are lamenting the end of their farmers’ market seasons, shoppers of the Westport Farmers’ Market are just gearing up. The yearly transition and tradition of moving from the expansive parking area at Imperial Avenue to the cozy greenhouses of Gilbertie’s Garden Center continues unabated and with great excitement. Thursday, November 9, may mark the last day of shopping outside, but festivities begin anew on Saturday, November 18 from 10 to 2 at 7 Sylvan Lane.
“This year’s opening day festivities signal just the kind of excitement we can expect from the area’s finest farmer and community market,” says Lori Cohran-Dougall, executive director of the Westport Farmers’ Market. “We’ll have food trucks and music and activities for children and adults alike.”
Nothing quite compares to the Westport Farmers’ Market year-round, but the winter market is that much more special – families from all over meet for brunch, listen to music, shop for weekly staples, find holiday gifts, and take home recipe ideas – all surrounded by the warmth of a glass house. And this year promises no less. Be sure to mark Saturday, November 18th, and every Saturday through March (except after Thanksgiving and after Christmas) on your calendars for the farmers’ market reviewers have called “world class” and “the best of the best!”
