West Hartford Inter-Elementary Music Festival 2026 at The Bushnell

Young musicians from across West Hartford will take the stage for the West Hartford Inter-Elementary Music Festival 2026 on May 27, 2026 at 7:30 pm at The Bushnell. The performance runs approximately 90 minutes.

A tradition spanning more than 60 years, the Inter-Elementary Music Festival brings together talented students from all eleven West Hartford elementary schools. More than 250 students are selected through auditions to perform in band, choir, and orchestra ensembles after months of weekly rehearsals held from February through May.

The festival culminates with a large-scale performance in Mortensen Hall, showcasing the musical achievements and dedication of young performers from throughout the district.

Guests requiring accessible seating should note that the Mezzanine and Balcony levels of Mortensen Hall are not wheelchair accessible and cannot accommodate mobility assistance devices. Due to limited accessible seating availability, patrons are encouraged to contact the Bushnell Box Office in advance for appropriate accommodations.
