Water Lantern Celebration: Lighting the Way For All Abilities at Plattwood Park Deep River

The Water Lantern Celebration: Lighting the Way for All Abilities will be held on October 5th from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at Plattwood Park in Deep River.
The event will feature individually decorated water lanterns, local musicians and a cookout.
The Water Lantern Celebration is a community event celebrating the lives of individuals of all abilities. Participants will witness the reflective beauty of hundreds of lanterns inscribed with personal greetings and memories on the lake at Plattwood Park. The event aims to lift up and honor those in our communities who bravely face and overcome challenges due to disability every day.
Ticket prices, in advance, are $25 per person ages 13+; $15 per person ages 2-12; and $75 for a family pack of four tickets. Every ticket includes one water lantern and decorating supplies.
Tickets the day of the event will be $20 ages 2-12, $35 for adults and $100 for family of 4 pack!
This is a family friendly event and will be held rain or shine!. Vegetarian options will be on the menu! Bring your own chair or blanket!
Musical entertainment for the event will feature: Acoustic Soup, a CT-based acoustic music duo made up of Al Raebuck & Steve Blanchard as well as Brad & Brian, singing multi-instrumentalists with a full-band sound; and two great sets performed by local young adults.
