WAMS Theatre Presents Chicago at the Palace Theater Waterbury

The Waterbury Arts Magnet School Theatre Department brings Kander and Ebb’s legendary musical Chicago to the Palace Theater stage for three performances on Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22, 2025, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, and Sunday, November 23, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm. This student production showcases the dazzling music, wit, and intrigue that have made Chicago one of Broadway’s most celebrated shows.

Set in the Roaring Twenties, the story follows chorus girl Roxie Hart, who murders her unfaithful lover and manipulates her way into the spotlight alongside fellow inmate Velma Kelly. Together, they navigate fame, fortune, and the quest for acquittal in a world where celebrity and scandal collide.

This special Chicago: Teen Edition has been thoughtfully adapted to ensure age-appropriate content while maintaining the energy and spirit of the original production. The show is produced by Dr. Maria Stasaitis, directed by Tyler Caisse, and music directed by Marianna Vagnini.
