2019 Walktober The Legend of Uncas Leap

The 2019 Walktober, The Legend of Uncas Leap will be held on October 12th from 10 am to 12 pm at the Uncas Leap Heritage Area in Norwich.
Visit the Yantic River gorge, a wonderful natural resource that is home to the legend of Uncas Leap. This tour will travel from the planned Uncas Leap Heritage Area to the Royal Mohegan Burial Ground. Explore the deep significance of the Mohegan Tribe’s heritage and its connection with the City of Norwich.
The walk is 1.5 miles and moderate. There are no restrooms available and leashed dogs are welcome.
The Uncas Leap Trail is apart of the self guided Walk Norwich Trail System accessible via walknorwich.org
