The 2019 Walktober – Shecktucket River Powering Norwich & Lifting Fish will be held on September 21st from 10 am to 11 am at the Shetucket River in Norwich.
Slow, level walk past a working hydroelectric station to the historic dam on the Shetucket River. Observe the fish lift and view a video of the shad run.
There are no restrooms available and no dogs please. This walk is not wheelchair accessible. This walk is 1 mile and moderate. This walk is sponsored by Norwich Public Utilities.
