Celebrate creativity and community at VSG Second Sunday Poetry and Music, held monthly at Vicinanza Studios & Gallery in Southbury. Running from March 9, 2024, through December 14, 2025, this ongoing event offers a welcoming space for both renowned poets and local talent to share their spoken word, poetry, and acoustic music.
Open mic participants may perform for up to five minutes, with the chance for additional time if the schedule allows. Whether you’re an experienced performer or a passionate audience member, this event fosters artistic connection and creative expression in an inviting setting.
The event is free to attend, with donations gratefully accepted to support featured poets. Sign-up begins at 3:30 pm, and performances run from 4:00 to 6:00 pm every second Sunday of the month. In the case of inclement weather, events are postponed to the following Sunday.
