UPstaged | Chris Autore: Look At Me Now at Palace Theater
Waterbury native Chris Autore celebrates 75 years in the entertainment business with Look At Me Now, a solo cabaret performance at Palace Theater on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 7 to 9 pm. The show features a lively selection of music spanning from 1950 to the present day, blending pop and Broadway favorites with personal stories from Autore’s remarkable career.
Look At Me Now is backed by a three-piece band featuring Lynn Portas on piano, John Mobilio on bass and Tom Devino on drums. The performance offers an intimate look at Autore’s journey through the entertainment industry and the experiences that shaped his life as a musician and performer.
Autore’s career began in 1950, when he was just five years old and sang on the Horn and Hardart Children’s Hour, broadcast from NBC Studios in New York. During his long career, he crossed paths with and performed among notable entertainment figures including Tallulah Bankhead, Connie Francis, Bernadette Peters and Rosemary Clooney.
The cabaret premiered to a sold-out audience at Don’t Tell Mama in New York City on November 5, 2025. Through music and storytelling, Look At Me Now reflects on the challenges of the entertainment business and the determination it took to build a career that has spanned seven and a half decades.
