U.S. Coast Guard Band Centennial Celebration Tour Preview at Leamy Hall

The United States Coast Guard Band presents a free concert, “Centennial Celebration Tour Preview,” on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2 p.m. in Leamy Hall at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London. This special performance, led by director Captain Adam Williamson, celebrates the band’s 100th year in operation.
The concert will feature a diverse and dynamic program, opening with the lively arrangement of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Pineapple Poll.” MUC Charlie Suriyakham will take center stage in Grgin’s “Concertino” for clarinet, followed by “Peace Dancer” by Jodie Blackshaw and Sousa’s “National Game March.” The program continues with the second movement from Kevin Day’s Concerto for Wind Ensemble and concludes with Arturo Marquez’s vibrant “Danzón No. 2.”
This event is free and open to the public, offering an opportunity to experience world-class musicianship in a historic setting. The concert will also be livestreamed via the U.S. Coast Guard Band’s Facebook page.
