Trees in the Rigging at Connecticut River Museum

Celebrate the start of the holiday season with Trees in the Rigging at the Connecticut River Museum in Essex on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 10 am to 5 pm. Presented in collaboration with the Essex Historical Society, this beloved community tradition is filled with festive family fun, local history, and waterfront cheer.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy holiday crafts, sweet treats, and a visit to Steve Cryan’s 32nd Annual Train Show on the museum’s third floor. As evening approaches, the celebration continues with a lantern-lit carol stroll from Essex Town Hall to the museum, where participants are encouraged to bring their own lanterns or flashlights. The festivities culminate with the spectacular Boat Parade, featuring dazzling displays from local boaters lighting up the Connecticut River.
