Thursdays on the Dock: Eight to the Bar at Connecticut River Museum

Thursdays on the Dock continues its tradition of live waterfront music with a performance by Eight to the Bar on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Now in its 16th year, this popular summer series invites guests to relax by the river, enjoy an evening of music, and watch the sun set.

Known for blending American roots music, swing, boogie-woogie, and Motown, Eight to the Bar brings high energy and tight musical arrangements to every performance. With standout instrumentalists, rich vocal harmonies, and a charismatic stage presence, they have entertained audiences from Maine to Miami and overseas, even sharing the stage with icons like Ray Charles and the late Roy Orbison.

Guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for seating. Beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available for purchase—no outside beverages are permitted. Porky Pete’s will offer tasty dinner options and Deep River Ice will serve sweet treats. Purchase a museum-branded tumbler in the gift shop for a beverage coupon and discounts on refills during the show.
