The Wall That Heals at Murphy Park

Experience The Wall That Heals when the traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial visits Putnam from September 10–13, 2026. Hosted at Murphy Park, this free event is open to the public 24 hours a day throughout its stay.

Created by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, The Wall That Heals is a traveling three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Since its introduction in 1996, the exhibit has traveled to communities across the United States, providing millions of visitors with an opportunity to reflect, remember, and honor the service and sacrifice of those who served during the Vietnam War.

Visitors are invited to explore the memorial, pay their respects, and learn about its history in a meaningful community setting. Organizers are also seeking volunteers to help support the event.
