Yale Schwarzman Center will present The View from Here: Accessing Art Through Photography from April 7, 2025, through January 4, 2026. This exhibition showcases the work of thirteen student-photographers from Greater New Haven who participated in a collaborative photography program with the Yale Center for British Art, the Lens Media Lab at the Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, and the Yale School of Art.
Now in its fourth year, the program offers students hands-on experience in the history, materials, and creative process of photography, guided by museum educators, faculty, and professionals. The exhibition reflects the unique perspectives and artistic growth of each participant, with works accompanied by personal artist statements available online.
Admission is free and open to the public. The Yale Schwarzman Center galleries are located at 168 Grove Street, New Haven, CT 06511. Hours are Monday–Tuesday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Wednesday–Friday from 8:30 am to 11:00 pm, and Saturday–Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
