Taylor Mac and Matt Ray: Songs from Bark of Millions at Shubert Theatre

Celebrate the release of Bark of Millions with an evening of original music featuring Taylor Mac and Matt Ray at the Shubert Theatre on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The performance begins at 7 pm.

MacArthur Fellow Taylor Mac reunites with Obie Award-winning composer Matt Ray for an intimate concert inspired by the release of their illustrated songbook, Bark of Millions. Drawing inspiration from queer figures past and present, the performance features original songs that explore community, history, identity, and celebration through music and storytelling.

Blending cabaret, theatrical performance, and live music, the evening offers audiences an opportunity to experience new works from two acclaimed artists whose collaborations have earned widespread critical praise.
