Tattoo Demonstration by Red Rock Designs at Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center

The Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center will host a special tattoo demonstration by Red Rock Designs on February 15 from 1 pm to 2 pm. This event offers an opportunity to explore the history and legacy of Eastern Woodland tattoos and gain a deeper appreciation for their cultural significance.

Miciah Stasis (Herring Pond Wampanoag) will showcase ancient tattooing techniques used by Eastern Woodland tribes, highlighting intricate designs and their meanings. Visitors will learn about the traditional materials and methods, as well as the symbolism behind various tattoo patterns. A live tattooing session will offer a rare glimpse into this historic art form.
