Summer Camp: Tales & Tides at Connecticut River Museum

Young explorers are invited to dive into a week of creativity and discovery during Tales & Tides, a summer camp experience at the Connecticut River Museum in Essex. This immersive program blends arts, crafts, and storytelling with outdoor adventure, all inspired by the history and natural beauty of the Connecticut River.

Campers will spend the week creating river-themed artwork, taking nature walks along the waterfront, and learning about the myths and legends connected to the region. They’ll also write and share their own original stories, drawing inspiration from the environment around them. A highlight of the camp includes setting sail on two exciting River boat rides aboard the Onrust, a replica 17th-century vessel, and the RiverQuest, an eco-friendly research boat.

Summer Camp: Tales & Tides takes place from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday, July 28 through Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Connecticut River Museum, 67 Main Street, Essex, Connecticut.
