Student Guide Tour: Collection Spotlight at Yale Center for British Art

The Yale Center for British Art will offer a special Student Guide Tour: Collection Spotlight on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm. This engaging tour explores the rich and complex history of British art from the sixteenth century to the present day.

Through selected works, visitors will examine how British art has been shaped by global influences and societal structures. The installation reveals stories behind individual and family portraits, as well as landscapes, religious scenes, and depictions of historic events. Together, these works highlight themes of migration, colonialism, industrialization, and the evolving notions of class, gender, and race.
