Student Guide Tour: Collection Spotlight at Yale Center for British Art

Visitors can explore the Yale Center for British Art’s renowned collection through a thematic tour led by a YCBA Student Guide. This tour highlights selected works from In a New Light: Five Centuries of British Art, an installation that examines Britain’s artistic legacy from the sixteenth century to today. The exhibition brings attention to the diverse individuals and global influences that helped shape British art, from portraits revealing social hierarchies to landscapes, seascapes, and scenes reflecting the shift from agrarian to industrial life.

Each Student Guide designs their tour around a unique theme, offering a fresh perspective on the museum’s collection and the cultural histories it represents. The tour takes place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 2 pm to 2:45 pm. Space is limited, and no registration is required. Tours meet in the Entrance Court before moving to the fourth-floor galleries.
