Student Guide Tour: Collection Spotlight at Yale Center for British Art

Explore British art through a fresh lens during a Student Guide Tour: Collection Spotlight at the Yale Center for British Art. This thematic tour of In a New Light: Five Centuries of British Art offers visitors a unique look at selected works, each interpreted through a distinct theme chosen by a Yale student guide.

The installation highlights the complex history of British art, illuminating the people and cultures that shaped it from the sixteenth century to today. Visitors will encounter portraits, landscapes, and historical scenes that reflect systems of class, gender, and race, as well as the transformations brought by industrialization and empire.

The tour takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 2:00 to 2:45 pm. No registration is required, but space is limited. Participants should meet in the Entrance Court before the tour begins.
