Student Guide Tour: Collection Spotlight at the Yale Center for British Art

The Yale Center for British Art in New Haven will host a Student Guide Tour: Collection Spotlight on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 2:00 to 2:45 pm. This thematic tour of In a New Light: Five Centuries of British Art offers visitors a deeper look into selected artworks and the stories they tell. Each tour is developed by a Yale student guide, highlighting a unique theme that reflects their personal insights and research into the museum’s collection.

In a New Light: Five Centuries of British Art examines the evolving history of British art through portraits, landscapes, and allegorical works spanning from the sixteenth century to today. The installation explores the connections between art, culture, and global influence, revealing the systems of class, race, and power that shaped British society.

No registration is required to attend. Tours meet in the Entrance Court, and space is limited. The Yale Center for British Art is located at 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, Connecticut. Admission is free.
