Strawberry Moon Living Exhibition at Mashantucket Pequot Museum

Celebrate the season during the Strawberry Moon Living Exhibition at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum on June 27, 2026, beginning at 10 am. Inspired by Wutahumun Keesoohs, or the Strawberry Moon, this family-friendly event offers an immersive day of Indigenous culture, history, and hands-on experiences.
Hosted on the Museum’s Farmstead, the celebration highlights traditional lifeways through interactive activities, cultural demonstrations, and opportunities to explore Indigenous art and traditions. Guests can enjoy a seasonal strawberry-themed treat while learning about the significance of the Strawberry Moon and its connection to the natural world.
Throughout the day, visitors will experience traditional song and dance performances, a live traditional clambake demonstration, and engaging activities designed for all ages. The event also features live animals presented by Xen’s Critters and a Turtle Touch Tank hosted by Mystic Aquarium, offering unique opportunities to connect with local wildlife and agricultural traditions.
The Strawberry Moon Living Exhibition is included with Museum admission and provides a welcoming environment for families to explore the rich cultural heritage of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation through education, storytelling, and hands-on discovery.
The Mashantucket Pequot Museum is located at 110 Pequot Trail, Mashantucket, CT 06338. For more information, visit https://www.pequotmuseum.org/explore/events/strawberry-moon-living-exhibition/.
