Storytime at Slater at Slater Memorial Museum

On the first Friday of every month, Slater Memorial Museum in Norwich, in partnership with Otis Library, hosts Storytime at Slater, an engaging experience for young children and families. Each storytime runs from 10:30 am to 11:30 am and combines art, stories, songs, and crafts for a lively hour of fun and learning.
Each session features a unique theme inspired by an art object from the museum’s collection. Museum staff introduce the art piece before Otis Library’s librarian reads stories that connect to the theme. The event includes dance and song breaks to keep everyone moving, and afterward, children participate in a themed craft project led by museum staff. This event is perfect for children ages 6 and under, but all ages are welcome.
