Stop Making Sense: Live Event at Garde Arts Center

Newly restored in 4K to mark its 40th anniversary, the 1984 film Stop Making Sense returns to the big screen. Directed by Jonathan Demme and hailed by critics as one of the greatest concert films ever made, the film features Talking Heads members David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Jerry Harrison, and Tina Weymouth alongside their touring musicians. Filmed at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater, the performance showcases the band’s most iconic songs.

This special event includes a screening of the re-release hosted by co-star Jerry Harrison, who will provide introductory remarks, post-screening comments, and a live audience Q&A.

The event takes place on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 7:30 pm at the Garde Arts Center, 325 State Street, New London, Connecticut.
