Stephen Sondheim Awards at Shubert Theatre

Students and educators from across Connecticut will come together for the 8th annual Stephen Sondheim Awards at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven on Saturday, May 17 at 7:30 pm. Presented by Black Rock Theater in association with the Institute for American Musical Theatre and the Shubert Theatre, the event celebrates excellence in high school musical theater.

Modeled after Broadway’s Tony Awards, the Stephen Sondheim Awards honor outstanding student achievement across multiple categories. The program highlights the importance of arts education while recognizing the creativity and talent of young performers and the educators who support them.
