Step Afrika!, one of the world’s leading African American dance companies, delivers a dynamic experience rooted in the tradition of stepping—a percussive dance form that uses the body as an instrument. Founded in 1994 by C. Brian Williams, the company combines stepping with traditional West and Southern African dance, as well as contemporary styles, creating a performance that is both culturally rich and visually powerful.
