Spring Picnic with The Equus Effect in Sharon

A relaxed outdoor gathering with a meaningful mission takes place on May 24, 2026 from 1 pm to 3 pm at 37 Drum Road, Sharon, CT 06069.

Hosted by The Equus Effect, this free spring picnic invites families and community members to enjoy an afternoon of fresh air, connection, and time with horses. The organization works with veterans and first responders, using equine-assisted programs to support those experiencing PTSD and other challenges after service.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic, blankets, and loved ones to enjoy the scenic setting. Soft drinks and cookies will be available, along with the chance to spend time near the horses in a peaceful, welcoming environment.
