Spring Apple Hunt at Lyman Orchards Apple Barrel Farm Market

A favorite springtime tradition returns to Lyman Orchards in Middlefield on Saturday, April 12, 2025, with the annual Spring Apple Hunt. Designed for children ages 1 to 10, this family-friendly event invites young apple hunters to search for eco-certified apples hidden among hay bales near the Apple Barrel Farm Market.
Each participating child receives a Lyman Orchards Spring Apple Hunt T-shirt, a keepsake apple bucket for collecting apples, and a coupon for a free 6″ cream pie from the Apple Barrel—redeemable on the day of the event.
Admission is $17 per child and advanced registration is required. The Apple Hunt is organized by age group with the following schedule:
- 10:00 am: Ages 1–3
- 10:35 am: Ages 4–6
- 11:10 am: Ages 7–10
- 11:45 am: Ages 1–3
Guests are encouraged to arrive up to 60 minutes before their scheduled hunt time to check in. One adult may accompany children ages 1–6 into the hunt area. For children 7 and older, adults will be asked to remain outside the designated hunting zone.
Families can extend their visit by enjoying a pancake breakfast or baked goods from the Apple Barrel Deli, open from 9:00 am with breakfast served until 11:00 am.
In the event of rain, the Apple Hunt will be rescheduled for Sunday, April 13. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
